Pasajes Gomez kicks off a monthly celebration with art, music and eats

LaTentacion1
Tijuana doesn’t have an official arts-and-culture district—yet—but until it does, the business owners at Pasajes Gomez and Pasajes Rodriguez are taking it upon themselves to host monthly celebrations that put Mexican artists in the spotlight. On the first Friday of every month, Pasajes Rodriguez hosts its celebration, and on the last Saturday of the month, Pasajes Gomez—across the street on Avenida Revolucion between Third and Fourth streets—has one.

Pasajes are akin to European open-air markets, and you can immerse yourself in TJ culture from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Pasajes Gomez’s inaugural Tijuana Art Walk. Besides artisanal beers and wines, food and artists alongside their work, there’ll be live music, including Flamenco, and performance art, like Circo Fusion—a circus-themed dance group. Park at the border and cross, then take a cab to Revolucion.
