We're proud to present the first of episode of A Trolley Show, a new video column that puts local and national music acts on board the San Diego trolley to perform their songs in front of the hard-to-please patrons of public transportation. A Trolley Show caught our eye last October, when it already had an impressive catalog of performances. We were so enamoured with their videos that we asked if we could feature them on our website. Luckily, they agreed. This series will serve to showcase some of the show's greatest hits as well as introduce CityBeat readers to some great live acts doing their thing in an unusual setting.

In this episode, The Silent Comedy's mustachioed minstrels perform an uplifting, rousing performance of their song "Lyin." Despite the current saturation of fashionably unwashed, Grammy-winning folkies, these guys have been around for nearly seven years and the energy they bring to their performance is raw and genuine.
