Spring break is in full swing in this warm and beautiful metropolis by the sea. While San Diego can't hold a candle to Florida when it comes to wet-T-shirt contests, hot-tub parties and other Spring Break-type hijinks, we still have some wildin'-out fun to offer. Pacific Beach and Mission Beach will have your bikini-clad tomfoolery covered, or you can try some of these cool alternatives.

South Park's Whistle Stop Bar (2236 Fern St.) will travel through time on Thursday, April 4, for the kickoff of its new club night, Timelines. Every first Thursday of the month, the freaks and geeks that dreamed up "Worst Music Ever" will choose a year in rock 'n' roll history and play their favorite records from that year. For the first Timelines, DJs Dan Sant and Mark Smith will spin tunes from 1967 as the classic '67 film Cool Hand Luke is projected on the wall. Drink, dance and, if you're feeling bold, try eating 50 eggs.

You might be thinking, Hey! It's spring break! And this table isn't going to dance on itself. If so, get wild at PCD Dollhouse in the Keating Ho tel (432 F St., Downtown). The Pussycat Dolls nightclub seems completely ridiculous, but this may be exactly what you need to party away what might have been the semester from hell. On Friday, April 5, the Dollhouse hosts 23-year-old producer Reid Stefan, who looks about 14 but somehow manages to get the ladies and dudes jumping in the club as if it were a bouncy castle.

The Ruby Room (1271 University Ave. in Hillcrest) will also be spring-breaking on Saturday, April 6, at elektrofied, a night of raging, art and odd entertainment. DJs InsanelyLoud and Nikolbag will be on the 1s and 2s, dropping '80s, electroclash, new wave and darkwave bangers while fire dancers and belly dancers shake it for your visual pleasure. You can also get a tarot-card reading from Bianca Waxlax between shots. Maybe she can tell your midterm grade.
