Website switches to national focus, lists string of upcoming fundraisers

When Carl DeMaio lost the mayor's race in November, folks speculated that he'd challenge Scott Peters for the 52nd congressional seat. After DeMaio's February op-ed in the Wall Street Journal urging Congress to get involved in pension reform and a May 1 Roll Call article about a GOP-commissioned poll that put DeMaio ahead of Peters, it was no longer a question of if he'd run, but when he'd announce.

Step One: Make-over the ol' website. The "Issues" pull-down on now includes matters more appropriate for a Congressional candidate. Via, here's what looked like on March 10 (the last time the site was crawled):

Now, the page has been stripped of content, but the menu's been updated:

Oh, and the website's list of upcoming events includes a campaign kick-off on June 26-and fundraisers scheduled through August. So, there ya go. Whether the Roadmap to Recovery goes national remains to be seen.
