There will be a solid assemblage of music, craft beer and cocktails, as well as both food and fashion trucks. Museums often take themselves too seriously. Thats why the Nationwide Museum Mascot Project, founded by husband-and-wife team Brian Dick and Christen Sperry-Garcia, is such a clever initiative. Invited or not, the artists show up at museums across the globe and, dressed in handmade costumes made from locally sourced thrift-store stuff, they hype up museum attendees as well as folks just walking by.
