“Unsilent Night” Gaslamp Trolley Station to Horton Plaza, Downtown, 619-299-5371. Saturday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. Looking for a truly alternative holiday experience? New York ambient composer Phil Kline's “Unsilent Night” will be performed for the first time in the streets of San Diego this weekend, starting at the Gaslamp Trolley Station on Harbor Drive and winding through the streets of the Gaslamp to Horton Plaza. Kline created “Unsilent Night” as an electronic music caroling party in New York's Greenwich Village, and for the past 10 years it has been an annual event in downtown Manhattan. To participate, Accretions' Marcos Fernandez says, “all you need to join in the sound is a portable tape player with fresh batteries, and we will provide you with a cassette tape of the music.” Call 619-299-5371 for details on how to participate, or e-mail Fernandez directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
