Americana mainstays The Tree Ring just released the video for "Wore it Deep," a slow, meditative, utterly beautiful track from the band's forthcoming album, Generous Shadows, which hits the streets on 2/12 and goes up for sale at treeringmusic.com on 2/15. Produced with the help of a crack team of artists--Wes Bruce (art director), Travis Cook (lightboard operator), Destin Daniel Cretton (director, producer, editor), Daniel Gonzales (sound recordist), Brad Kester (producer), Ron Najor (producer), Brett Pawlak (director of photography)--the video documents what would've been a pretty interesting house show. The band played in the attic and audience members paid a cover charge of one household lamp.
The Tree Ring celebrate the release of Generous Shadows at the San Diego Woman's Club on Saturday, Feb. 12. John Heart Jackie opens. Get your tickets here. But before you do that, click here to read a recent interview I did with The Tree Ring's Joel P. West about the album.
