Wavves frontman Nathan Williams and Heavy Hawaii frontman Matt Barajas have collaborated on a new comic book, Negative Dad, a 12-issue series about the hijinks of mutant teenagers and aliens who live in a miserable small town. “I have to be vague because I want to leave the surprises to the reader,” Barajas says via email, “but I can tell you that there will be cross dressing, trips through different dimensions and a cat that sells weed.” Williams and Barajas, who used to make comics for their old band Fantastic Magic, came up with the storyline, and illustrator Nicholas Gazin drew the comics. Barajas isn't sure about a release date, but he says it should be available in most comic-book stores within the next couple months. You can check out photos of the comic at twitter.com/wavveswavves.
