'Tis the season of falling leaves and temperatures-yep, it's fall. Here in sunny San Diego, we barely notice the change; we throw on a scarf (mostly for looks rather than utility), carve a pumpkin and wait for the two-degree drop before we can call it winter and start looking forward to spring. There's one unique subsection of the population, however, that revels in the autumn months, clinging tightly to the cool(er) air as if it were a long-lost lover. The folks behind San Diego's large-but often overlooked-arts world get all tingly inside when it comes time for the masses to give up the beaches and head indoors. They've been ready and waiting, putting together interesting and creative programming they're sure will knock your little socks off-oh wait, you're not wearing socks yet.
In any case, we've got the best of the best right inside this issue. CityBeat caught wind of the goings on and caught a bit of the fall fever, too. We got all excited about the upcoming performances and events, and we decided to pass along the buzz. So kiss your summer goodbye, get out your to-do list and enjoy.
